Background Information

My name is Steve Fischer, I am a recent graduate of Olympic College. I received an "Information Systems Specialist" associate's degree and my Bachelor's of Applied Science degree in Information Systems.

In 2019, I spent a large part of the time receiving an additional 13 certificates in web deveopment. I have also been certified by the TestOut Corporation. I am currently seeking employment in the information technology (IT) field.

Even though I was born with cerebral palsy, I have never let that define me in whatever I have done in my life. This has taught me to look at things in a different way rather than aproaching an obstacle in a more traditional sense, which keeps me always in a learning state of mind.

The type of cerebral palsy that I have effects mainly the right side of my body, which allows me to be fully functional, with some minor gate issues when walking and a slight delay in my speech.

Some of the hobbies that I like to do when not working on the computer are: listen to country music, play guitar, going to concerts. Some of the country artists I like to listen to inlude Darius Rucker (lead singer of rock band, Hootie & the Blowfish), Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, as well as up and coming artists, Luke Combs, Carly Pearce, and Kelsea Ballerini. I also like to travel, whether it be a road trip, going on a cruise or flying to different destinations.
